Evelyn graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with an A.A. degree in Dental Hygiene. She enjoyed working in this field for many years until she retired from it in 1994. She helped her husband Bill in his law practice when needed. She has two grown children – son Bill and his wife Kristin, and daughter Melissa and her husband Richard, and four granddaughters, Rebecca, Allison, Julia and Katharine.
Evelyn Lang describes herself as one of the “little ‘ol me’s” that God uses. She believes that God uses people in ways they never dreamed possible, and that against all odds, He will do exceeding, abundantly more than they can imagine. Lessons I Learned From The Lord is a testimony in and of itself to this fact.
Lessons I Learned From The Lord is God’s assignment to Evelyn. She fully states that she was just the instrument God used for writing this book, and takes no credit, but gives God the glory.
Evelyn has spoken, and is on the prayer team, at her church, Christian Life Center, now The Journey Church of the Highlands, in West Milford, New Jersey. She is also one of the church’s intercessors. She just recently was the speaker at a women’s retreat for The Philadelphia Church in Ocean Grove, NJ.
Evelyn, I just stumbled onto your blog and had to ‘amen’ your comments about “little ol- me’s’ and also God’s Assignments. I have a book that is totally God’s assignment. Every step of the way, it was so obviously His doing. I was just a wife and mother, doing my thing, when our life crashed and burned. In the journey back, God took hold of me and taught me so thoroughly who He is and how He works that when He said, “write” I said, “who me? no way!”…all the way to the publisher’s front door! That’s how I know He did it.
God bless your ministry, Evelyn.
Hello Gina
Thank you for your “amen” and for your testimony. I love hearing these stories! God is so amazing how He works everything out for good. When God is in it, it’s His abilities, not ours. He certainly loves to stretch us!
I pray great success with your book! God Bless you Gina!
