Hello Everyone,
I don’t know if you’re like me, but I have one drawer that I call my “junk” drawer. It’s the catch all for all the papers and little things I do not have a place for, but think that I may need it at some point. Things that could be useful – address labels, extra note pads, pocket calendars – and yes, even tips for organizing drawers! It all builds up to where I decide I have to do something about it. It’s amazing the useful items in there that I never found a use for! So I organize and straighten it out so that I now feel so much better when I open that drawer.
It’s the same with us. We have junk building up inside of us too, however maybe not so obvious or glaring. Worry junk, distraction junk, busyness junk, and more, accumulates until it takes over. When this happens, we live in a state of stress and anxiety – even more junk added to the pile!
When our house is cluttered, we feel stressed and unorganized; when we clean up, it gives us peace. Same with us when we are cluttered. So what’s the solution? What should we do to get rid of it all?
Just take it all to the Junk Buster. When you run to the Lord with it all, He cleans out the junk and fills us with peace. He tells us in His Word to come to Him when we are weary and heavy laden and He will give us rest. (Matthew 11:28) We can lay it all at His feet and let Him remove it all and give us peace.
You don’t have to try to remove it by yourself – just take it to the Lord, for He is our Junk-Buster!
Blessings, Evelyn
Ev, You know I need this right now. God bless you.
Dear Linda,
I think we all need this as we all have clutter of some kind building up. The good news is that we have our Lord, who is always there to guide us and give us peace.
Blessings, Evelyn
How true! What a privilege it is to carry and unburden EVERYTHING to God in prayer.
Thank you Ev!
Dear Kath,
Thank you! Your comment reminds me of that old song about the same thing. The old hymns can get right to the heart of the matter! We are so blessed to be able to run to Hi with everything.
Blessings, Evelyn
