Hello Everyone!
First of all, I would like to thank Pastor Jim and Joy Westervelt for inviting me to speak at Third Sunday Fellowship. I had such fun meeting everyone. The worship was incredibly anointed and I would like to thank them for doing such a great job! Thank you to all my friends that came and a special thank you to Jim and Judy for helping me get there and for taking the video. Thank you Tony for providing the camera. Thank you to Vera and Susie for taking some pictures and for coming from such a long distance to be there. I appreciate you and thank God for you all. I was blessed!
I was recently praying about passion for the Lord and God starting explaining and telling me that passion is the road to the cross. Passion is loving Him when you’re bruised and beaten and scarred. Passion is not giving up when things are hard.
Passion isn’t just being “on fire” for Him. It includes that, but it’s so much more. It’s hanging onto His promises even when we can’t see them. It’s trusting Him when you don’t know how to go on. Passion is so much more than revival. Passion is faithfulness to Him – loyalty, trust, hope – even in the hard times. Passion isn’t just a feeling. Passion is also what you do. The times when you are most passionate are the times you may be hanging on by a thread. You may not feel passion at all.
It’s easy to be passionate and on fire in good times. But what about when the night comes, the music stops and discouragement lifts up its ugly head? What about when it seems your hopes and dreams are shattered? If you hang onto the Lord in those times, you have passion. Because passion is the road to the cross. It may be filled with scars and bruises. It may be filled with weakness, but keep going. Victory is at the cross.
Have a blessed and wonderful Resurrection Day!
Blessings, Evelyn

Hi Evelyn,
As I read your description of Passion, I thought about the ladies at the jail that we visit with Bible studies.
As new believers filled with excitement, they need this encouragement as they face the challenges ahead of them.
I have printed it out to use for them as the Lord leads (for one lady right now).
Thank you for YOUR passion which He is spreading abroad!

Dear Pat
How wonderful that you give of your time to help the ladies in prison. What a blessing you must be to them.
I pray that many will be touched and know the love of our Lord Jesus through His light shining from you.
May God bless the work of your hands!
Blessings,
Evelyn
