Hello everyone,
In prayer one day, a few years ago, the Lord was giving me a story that I believe many can relate to and the time to publish it is now.
Once upon a time, there was a young child who loved the Lord so much. His presence was very real to her and she knew His love for her. Then one day an authority in the child’s life, said to this little one, that the Lord would punish her, even strike her with lightening, if she did not obey this authority. The little child became like a frightened little kitten, afraid to make a mistake, afraid the Lord would get mad and punish. The child became afraid of saying or doing anything wrong, and withdrew. The child’s confident bubbly personality became quiet and unsure. Yet her heart still loved her Lord.
But then, as the child grew older, the Lord filled this now grown-up child with His Spirit and she was changed from a frightened little kitten to a lioness, speaking God’s word with boldness and authority. Then as she was strong and confident in Him, a great loss came into her life and she was shaken to the core. She trusted the Lord with all her heart that He knew what was best and would take care of her, yet she still strived and worked until she was stressed out and exhausted.
Then this shell of a lioness cried out to the Lion of Judah and He roared and breathed His great breath upon her and renewed her strength. For they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings of eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)
Precious ones, the Lord sees what you are going through. The scripture above this last one tells us that although we may grow faint and weary, the Lord does not. God understands what we are going through. He will carry you in His arms. His love for us is so much more than our human love can imagine. He wants you to know He loves you.
If you do not know the Lord, or want to renew your relationship with Him, say this prayer and mean it in your heart – He’s waiting for you with open arms.
Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God, that You died on the cross for my sins. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. Come into my heart, be my Lord and Savior and I will follow You all the days of my life. Thank You for giving me eternal life. Amen.
May the Lord bless you and keep you and give you His peace!
Blessings, Evelyn

That is a precious story. The verse Isaiah 40:31 fits the story perfectly. It also fits our lives perfectly. What can we do without His strength? My personal answer is, “nothing”. The verse was also a favorite of my maternal grandmother. Thank you for blessing me,Ev.
Dear Linda,
Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. I pray that this post will strengthen many in their walk with the Lord. I am so happy this was a blessing to you!

Dearest Evelyn,
I read this story and cried. I believe this story is the story of every little girl or boy who has been deeply wounded by the words of others — of how we become like closed flowers to protect our little girl or boy hearts, rather than feels safe to open our petals, and be all the L-RD created us to be. I believe this story is the story of every little girl, little boy, woman or man who has suffered great loss, and how we struggle and fight to make sense of all this in the midst of our pain and sorrow, wondering if we will ever have joy, wholeness, or a sense of normalcy again. Yet through this story is the continuous presence and love and faithfulness and power of GOD, even when we can’t see Him. Throughout, we see the L-RD holding us tight, comforting us, fighting for us, breathing His life, His breath, His truth, His comfort, His hope, His peace, His joy into our wounded, broken, confused, struggling lives until one day the L-RD does mount us up with wings of eagles, gives us beauty for ashes, a garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness, and a joy and comfort in knowing more deeply that He is here and loves us with an everlasting, unconditional, healing, and infinite love. Oh the joy of seeing this little girl, this beautiful woman renewed by the L-RD, flourishing, strong once again, filled with joy and a bubbling personality, and living with opened petals in the love and fullness of her L-RD.
Thank you Ev for sharing this beautiful love story and for reminding me and all who read this that G-D is always there with us, loving us, fighting for us, filling us, transforming us, strengthening us, renewing us until one day, suddenly and unexpectedly, we find ourselves mounting us with wings of eagles, running and not growing weary, walking and not fainting. Yes, with Jesus, even in the midst of pain, loss, and suffering, there is always hope.
With love and blessings,
Sherry
Dear Sherry,
Thank you so much for responding. it was beautiful and there’s absolutely nothing I can add to what you said. I am so glad that it touched your heart and I pray that it will touch many, many hearts – hearts that are broken, hearts that are weary – with the love of Jesus.
