Hello Everyone!
With this situation of Covid-19 upon us, many people all over the world are in a time of famine. It could be a famine of food and supplies. We’ve all seen the shelves in stores become bare of paper products, cleaners, hand sanitizers and even food. Some people have a work famine with businesses being closed – some temporary and some may not survive. There’s a famine of not being able to be with our loved ones, or meet with friends, or gather at church for encouragement and fellowship. Some have had their plans and dreams drastically changed. Weddings and graduations had to be rescheduled and even worse, some have lost loved ones.
But this time is also a time to reflect and realize how precious our families and friends are to us. It is a time that we can reconnect with our spouses and children and to get to know their deepest feelings. It’s a time to be able to became as a child again and have fun with them. Remember doing jigsaw puzzles, board games and coloring? Maybe this will help us to come back to talking and playing with them instead of us being on smart phones. In our busy former world, it was not always possible for Mom and Dad to do these things with them. Even those alone will have more time to spend with the Lord and download from Him! Maybe the “old days” were not so bad after all!
Many will have the opportunity to do the creative things they have always wanted to do, or those “honey do” projects around the house that were just waiting to get done but there was never enough time. Some may want to do the volunteer work that had been on their heart, but was not possible before, So many are in need such as the poor and elderly that were just hanging on before this happened.
And sometimes miracles happen out of messes!
I had been preparing to get my third book ready for publishing when this virus came and I wondered if I should do this now. It did not seem like the ideal time with the famine in the land. However the Lord was doing miracles to bring this book about that were undeniable. Every time I asked if I should move forward, it was a clear answer – yes! Every time I would step back, I would get a loving nudge to keep going. He then reminded me of Isaac who sowed in the land and even in famine, reaped one hundred fold.
So I am excited to tell you, my friends, that this book is now in the process of being published with the publisher that the Lord already picked out for me! It should be completed by the end of June if all goes according to schedule. Stay tuned for more updates!
If the Lord has put a dream on your heart, or has given you something to do for Him, maybe now He has given you the time to sow – even with famine in the land, Who knows – maybe this mess we are now in, will birth your miracle!
Stay healthy and well.
Blessings, Evelyn

What a beautiful outlook, Evelyn. Thanks for sharing and congratulations on the publishing of your new book.
I have been enjoying this down time doing some of the things you mentioned, all at a more relaxed and peaceful pace. Even cooking has become more enjoyable!
In the famine or the plague, God’s people live under the Blessing at all times.

My sentiments exactly about the lock down. The last thing that this generations family has needed is a trip to Disney World. (I was so glad to hear it had closed down). What they have needed was non distracted time
as a family! I have so enjoyed seeing everyone out walking! Truly, what satin means for harm God always
turns for good!
I am so thrilled about your book Ev!! We definitely need to catch up.
Thank you for your beautiful blog, it’s always so encouraging and uplifting…as are you!
