Hello Everyone!
As I was praying one day, the Lord was revealing things about Himself that we know, yet we don’t think about as often as we should – or apply to our everyday lives.
Jesus is King and Priest. He’s in charge of the physical and the spiritual realm. All our needs are met in Him. For what good king doesn’t take care of his people and what good priest doesn’t take care of his flock? All – everything we need, is found in Him. We can rest assured that He will take care of everything that concerns us and therefore we’re not to be anxious about anything. It may not always be in the way our human minds think – He does it in the way that’s best for us.
We can all look back at some area or situation in our lives that He came to the rescue and did something very special for us. God changes not. If we come to Him and ask according to His will, He will come through for us, time and time again. It’s the same when we step out and do what the Lord has called us to do. He will help us along the way. Not because He is a servant, for He is King. He does it because He loves us, because we are His – and because we love Him.
He does it for love.
When we help, or do something nice for our spouse or friend – or they do something nice for us – it’s not out of being a servant to them, but out of love. God is Love. We can come to Him with anything, knowing that He will help us because of that love. Just as what we do for Him is out of love.
A servant does things because they have to – it’s their job. However, when something is done out of love, it’s done with joy for that person. Even when Jesus washed the disciple’s feet – He did it out of love. He served them out of love – but He wasn’t their servant. There’s the difference.
The Lord loves us – is there anything He wouldn’t do for us? He already did it on the cross.
Happy Resurrection Day!
Blessings, Evelyn
Evelyn, I can’t agree more. His LOVE is GREATER than anything I can imagine.
In Christ, Linda
Dear Linda,
Thank you for responding. I think we’ll only really know the greatness of His love when we get to heaven – how wonderful to have that to look forward to!
Blessings, Evelyn
All I can do is repeat what the song says, “Oh! How He loves you and me…”
Dear Maude,
I’m singing along with you…..
Blessings,
