Hello everyone,
Before I fell asleep one night I sensed the Lord talking to me about being fine-tuned. Our ears are made to be fine-tuned to hear. We, as parents, are fine-tuned to hear our children. When they are babies, we wake up at the first sound of a cry. We listen for that first word. As they become young adults, they are still our children and we wait for a call to hear how they are doing.
As God’s children, the Lord’s ear is always fine-tuned to hear our cries. From the time we are born until we are aged and waiting to be called home, He listens for the tiniest whimper. He’s there at all times for us. Jeremiah 33:3 tells us that if we call to Him, He will answer us and tell us great and mighty things that we don’t know.
What about us? Are we fine-tuned to hear Him when He calls to us? Do we make ourselves available to hear? Do we minister to Him in prayer to find out the cry of His heart?
I want to be fine-tuned to hearing Him at all times – no matter what I’m doing. I want to be so fine-tuned that I don’t miss a word. What about you?
Blessings, Evelyn
Lessons I learned from the Lord has more about hearing in the first chapter, titled, “Hello, this is the Lord. Is anyone listening?”
