Hello Everyone,
I hope everyone is having a good summer!
Remember when we were children, and someone copied what we did? Most of the time we would call them a name – copy-cat! Although as a child, we didn’t realize that it was because they wanted to be like us, or be able to do what we did, we still didn’t like someone copying us.
I think that so many people are not pleased with the way they look, speak, or even with their personalities. They look at others and want to be like them. But God created the way we look and speak – and He gave each one our own personalities. Psalm 139 says just that. He loves us just the way He made us.
I believe that it makes the Lord sad when we don’t like ourselves, or when we don’t see our worth and then try to be like someone else. God wants us to be whole and like who we are. That’s not conceit – that’s being comfortable in who God made us to be. That’s confidence in the Lord who made you – uniquely perfect, having everything you need to fulfill your purpose. It’s having faith in God that He doesn’t make mistakes. When we are comfortable in who we are, then we can do all that God created us to do.
God has given each one of us a specific purpose. If we try to copy or be like another, we’ll never walk in our destiny. God doesn’t make carbon copies, for if He did, then everyone would have the same purpose, look the same, act the same. God loves it when people love who they are. That’s a compliment to Him! That makes Him happy.
So therefore, look at all the good qualities that God placed inside of you. See the beauty that He sees in you. Give yourself the gift of freedom to be yourself and walk in all that God has intended for you. For when you see yourself as He sees you, then you will be free to like yourself and not be – a copy-cat!
Happy Fourth of July!
Blessings, Evelyn

Evelyn, I used to work at the potter’s wheel and loved creating unique vessels. Now I know THE POTTER, and realize I am one of His unique vessels.

Dear Maude
As a child, I always liked to work with clay – not the modeling kind, but the kind that was found at the banks of a river. We used to mold it and let it dry in the sun. I loved to see what vessels could be made. They turned out very primitive, but it was great fun anyway!
Yes we are indeed His unique vessels – it’s quite amazing to really understand it!
Blessings,
Evelyn

Dear Alexis
Thanks Alexis for your response. We all need to be reminded of this truth because we all look at our shortcomings and compare ourselves to others, not realizing they are doing the same with us! They see us on the outside, but we see us from the inside – all our faults.
Yet Jesus sees us through His blood and sees us as righteous. Praise Him for the work He did on the cross!
Blessings, Evelyn
