Hello Everyone,
I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful fall colors and weather!
God has blessed me with several dear friends who hear Holy Spirit and then move on His promptings. Some are so led by Holy Spirit that it’s a normal occurance in their lives. They are so sensitive that they move in what Holy Spirit is directing them to do, naturally, just by being themselves and who God created them to be.
One recent Sunday, I was driving home from church and as I was passing Macaroni Grill, I had a fleeting thought that Bill and I never went there. I was thinking how I would like to go. The very next Sunday, I decided to wear a pants suit to church – one that my friends gave me for my birthday. As I was waiting for service to begin, lo and behold, these friends came in! They go to another church but decided to come to mine after going to their early service.
After service, they asked me to go to dinner with them. Where did they choose to go? You guessed it – Macaroni Grill! Isn’t God amazing?! He “heard” the unspoken desire of my heart and granted that desire.
I thank God for the dear friends He has put in my life. Some have a word in season, some give their time to help me do things or fix things around the house that I can’t do. (When I try to do these things, I usually wind up having what I call, “Ev’s Escapades.”) All are special and are used by the Lord in various ways.
God “hears” our hearts. When we desire in our hearts, no matter how little or fleeting that desire is, God loves to do it for us. He shows us in so many ways how much He loves us. Even though we aren’t “formally” asking for something, God “hears” our heart! It may be so fleeting or one we consider so samll we don’t even put a voice to it. Yet nothing – not one desire – goes unnoticed by our Lord.
I wonder how many of these “fleeting desires” we forget about. God does not forget. I wonder how many times God gives us these little cries of our hearts and we overlook or forget that He answered. If we look back, I think we’ll find many of them. I may forget, or miss the connection that He has done this – yet He is faithful and blesses anyway.
Thank you Lord for all the times I don’t even realize what You’ve done and I didn’t thank You. It may have been the smallest desire, yet time and time again, God hears when we ask “with our heart.”
Blessings, Evelyn
Thank you, dear friend, for the reminder of how good God is to us. You, also, reminded me not to take His goodness for granted. He blesses us in many different ways. Praise the Lord for his mercy and loving kindness to us.
Dear Linda,
Thank you Linda for commenting. You are one of those people that the Lord uses to touch many. Your sincere and kind heart is a reflection of Him in you, as He uses you to bless others. To be used of the Lord to bless someone is the best gift of all!

Such an excellent point – G-d hears out heart!! I remember years ago having a co-worker in the military, a sergeant who was a bit “off the beaten path,” who was jaded about love. He was an exemplary worker and kind. Yet, he had very particular religious ideas and was quite the loner. In compassion, I fleetingly asked the L-RD to find him his mate (It was barely a prayer – more like a sincere desire for this man.) Some years later when I returned to my old office, he was still there. However, this time, he had an 8 X 10 photo of an attractive woman on his desk! I asked who it was; not only had he “found” a like-minded woman, they had since married and he was thrilled! It took me a little while – rather, Holy Spirit had to remind me that this mating was the very thing I asked G-d for in my heart some years before! Praise His Name.
Dear Dawn,
Thank you for responding. What an amazing, encouraging story! Good thing we have Holy Spirit to remind us. I know sometimes it takes me a while to realize all the Lord has done as well. I’m sure there’s a lot more I don’t even realize yet! Praise His Holy Name!

What a sweet reminder to look back. I am blessed as the Holy Spirit was bringing several incidents to my mind even as I was reading “God hears our heart”
So many times I have just taken for granted the little things that were my secret thoughts and sometimes desires that were fulfilled. I found myself filling up with a thankful heart for what the Father has done.
Thank you again for being the precious vessel of truth and blessing to so many as you continue to share the revelations and wisdom of God.
May you be blessed, your faithfulness in serving God and others is a tremendous Blessing to all.
Dear Carol,
Thank you so much for sharing. It’s so nice to hear reminders of God’s goodness to us. I find that sometimes I don’t even make the “connection” of what He’s done until a much later time. I want to be more sensitive to what He’s doing and not be so cluttered with the mundane things of life. Sometimes it’s just good to be able to put things in persepctive and see all the blessings. Thank you for your kind words as well. You have been a sweet vessel of God to many, including myself.
Blessings, Evelyn
Hi Evelyn,
What you said, is so beautiful and true of His Holy Spirit. There is no greater joy or privilege on this earth, than to have our Heavenly Father hear our thoughts
and know our desires. And I guess, when you really think about it…who needs words? We have HIS WORDS, hidden in our hearts!!
Hi Kath,
Thanks so much for responding – and also for your insight! Thanks be to the Lord for His love and care at all times – nothing is too big or too small for our God!
Blessings, Evelyn
